Trip to Raleigh

We had a fantastic time last week when we went to Raleigh, NC to visit Chauncey's parents. It was by far the best trip we have had visiting them because the kids were themselves all but the last day there. They slep well, ate well, and even when we came home they asked to go back and if we could live in Grandma and Grandpa's house! They really loved it!

I love it down there too. It is everything I want and need in a place to live, and Chauncey's parents, brothers, sisters are all amazing people and so much fun to be with. We are so grateful to have such a great family and hope that all the siblings follow our move there and settle there together(hopefully you all read this....hint, hint hint).

Here are a few of our memories from the trip. Thanks so much George and Ruth for all that you have done for us! We love you.

Oh, and there aren't pictures of Ruth because she seems to purposefully avoid cameras which I was unaware of until after I went through them all when we were already home. I will get her next time!

Playing on Grandma and Grandpas bed...I didn't even know they did this!

Kate is still talking about "Fun AJ" as she lovingly refers to him.

Feeding the ducks, a family tradition and child favorite.

Racing down the driveway.

Kate loved Aunt Alison Instantly of course.

Jackson catching a ridewith Grandpa on the Body Board.

Kate saying Hey I want a Turn!

And she gets her way with Grandpa every time!

Minature golfing is always a big hit with the West kids.

Our first nite there Kate and Alison had a little shared birthday celebration and Kate got some Mickey Mouse toys which she can never get enough of.

Baby George, AJ Daddy and Grandpa all played some beach baseball with the Boys.

We went to visit Alison and Baby George while they were working at Frankie's and had a little game fun.

Three very good looking young Wests.

Had to throw this one in.

Grandmas driveway was made to do this! You should have seen how fast they would get going, scary!

Jackson shooting some hoops at Frankies.
A roller coaster ride. Looks thrilling huh?
Kate was spent, but it sure was fun!

Cleveland Indians Game on Thursday

We went to the Cleveland Indians Baseball game at Progressive Field Thursday for a Noon game. We had such a great time! There is nothing like sitting at a baseball game on a nice day, enjoying life. This is one of my very favorite things and is my very favorite sport!

The only negative was that I had to carry Kate quite a bit which I thought would be ok since I have been super careful and haven't had any painful or consistent contractions yet. On the way home I was having them every 2-3 minutes and painful enough to scare both Chauncey and I. I went straight to the bath and dranks tons of water.

I won't be doing that again!

A stop for some good ole' Indians helmet ice cream.

Here is Jack eating his $5 Helmet Ice Cream. Ahh...memories!
Kate fell asleep during the ice cream break. It was a Noon game.

All three boys enjoying the view from the cheap seats.
Kate telling Mommy about the baseball game!
Doesn't she look so old in this picture??

Kate's 2nd Happy Birthday!!

Kate blowing out her candles.
Opening a Hop on Pop bear from Grandma and Grandpa West.
Opening a gift. I love how excited she gets!
This is a Prayer Bear, it says 5 different prayers. I took her to Walmart the day before her party and she grabbed this bear and pulled it out of its package and started cuddling and talking to it, so I was sold!
Hop on Pop Book.
Kate playing one of the party games, following the leader.

She had so much fun!
She just blew out the candle, you can see the "2" candle in the picture.

This was an "I Spy" sort of game I made, they all really liked it. Kate found the Dinosaur.
Then she found another when it was someone elses turn.
Playing follow the leader again.

Cute girl.

Here is the fun Mickey Mouse cake I made. On the right side you can see where a roll of foil fell on it, and on the left ear you can see when little Chauncey accidentally dropped a bat on it.
Oh well!
The table.
We played a parachute game in the beginnning of the party. All the kids loved it!

Kate is 2. I have enjoyed every minute of this little girl being in our lives. She has been more of a joy than I could have ever hoped for. She is the happiest, most talkative, and sensitive and sweet little girl. And she is so loving. We are so very grateful that she was given to us and are excited for the year to come!
