Bella's pictures at 8 weeks old

Bella has been a great baby. She has been smiling and talking to me for many weeks now. She is so much fun! There is nothing greater in this world than when your sweet new little baby communicates with you in such a way that you know they are totally crazy in love with you!

As wierd as it may sound, I feel like I am a better mother to all of my kids now, more than ever, even just before she was born. In some way, Bella has bonded us all together more than ever. I am so grateful to have these sweet kids.

Jack's Done

This is how he showed us he wasn't going to take any more pictures, then Uncle George decided he felt the same way!

Family pictures at the Kirtland Temple

After church we went across the street to the Kirtland Temple for a photo op.
Grandma West with Kate.
Grandma/pa West with the kids.
Silly Faces=Silly Kids
This isn't a temple picture-no idea how it got here!
Cute!

George and AJ, best friends.
Trying to clean up this accident....it was pretty awful! The kids had a blast with thier two uncles George and AJ!

Notice the yellowing on the pretty white dress....a minor dilemma!
The kids had so much fun with thier grandma and Grandpa and Uncle AJ and Uncle George. We are so grateful to have such a fun and loving family in our lives. We can't wait to live a little closer to them in North Carolina!

Morning of Bella's Blessing day...

The morning started for me at 5 am when I woke up and took Kate straight away to the ER for the second time in 2 days, third time in a week. We made it back 10 minutes before we had to leave for church, what perfect planning!

Bella was beautiful in her dress and her blessing was sweet and perfect given by her father and assisted by her loving family.

Three trips to the ER in one week for Kate!

Rainbow babies and Children's hospital Emergency Room. She, as you know, broke her clavicle, then I dislocated her elbow helping her up off the ground. The first trip to the ER was unsuccessful. The first doctor to try and put her elbow back into place didn't do it right, even I knew she didn't do it. I asked for a different doc to try, again, they are lame and don't know what they are doing. All the while my poor Kate is in pain with idiots for doctors. The last to try was the attending doc, you would think she should have a clue. But no. She said it was back in place and said that Kate was just..."being a 2 year old." because she was still crying. I was furious, and left, knowing that she was not beig a 2 year old and that she was still hurting. The next morning at 5 am I took her again to the ER where the first doc tried to relocate it, unsuccessfully again. So, I demanded the orthopedic surgeon immediately, which he came, and within 5 minutes had helped my baby girl finally! He got it back in right away, and was the only one who actually did the right motion on her arm to get it. I am so furious knowing that doctors can't even relocate a nursemaid's elbow, which is such a common injury! She was happy and herself again immediately(minus her broken clavicle!). All of this happened during the weekend that Grandma and Grandpa came to visit! So SAD for my Kate!

Kate's Hugger...And Update

Bella exactly one month old(with her baby acne)! Poor girl.

Kate is doing well with her broken Collar bone, although every time I pick her up out or into her carseat, or anywhere else, she NEVER forgets to remind me by saying,

"Mommy, don't hurt my arm."

It makes me feel so bad every time!

Amen to Amish Country...

We spent yesterday afternoon enjoying a beautiful Fall day in nearby Amish Country. We played at the park, ate, and watched all the horse and buggies drive past. It was beautiful weather, not a cloud in the sky, what a great day!
And one of the best parts was that some of our best friends the Durrants joined us! Thaanks for a great day!

Kate's Crushed Clavicle

Last night while enjoying our friends company after dinner, Kate and her little friend Lily were laughing it up as Kate was being silly. It was so cute, I grabbed the camcorder, Liz grabbed her camera to capture this moment.
The next thing I knew Kate had catapolted herself over the edge of the chair and was screaming! It was awful! Chauncey rushed her to the ER and 2 hours later they arrived home with a broken clavicle (collar bone) that she wears a sling for the next several weeks to allow it to heal correctly. Atleast I got it all on video!
I guess thats what you get for having active, silly kids. At least we will never be able to say life is boring at the West house!
