Kate's Crushed Clavicle

Last night while enjoying our friends company after dinner, Kate and her little friend Lily were laughing it up as Kate was being silly. It was so cute, I grabbed the camcorder, Liz grabbed her camera to capture this moment.
The next thing I knew Kate had catapolted herself over the edge of the chair and was screaming! It was awful! Chauncey rushed her to the ER and 2 hours later they arrived home with a broken clavicle (collar bone) that she wears a sling for the next several weeks to allow it to heal correctly. Atleast I got it all on video!
I guess thats what you get for having active, silly kids. At least we will never be able to say life is boring at the West house!

oh, poor Kate... for being such a tiny girl, she sure knows how to get herself in trouble! We send our love and hopes for a speedy, easy recovery.

My heart about jumped out of my body at the end of the video. So sad. (She looks adorable in her little sling though. ;) )

I thought of you today as I finished the 4th book of the Twilight series. It sounds like you and I had similar experiences about reading them. I like the name 'Bella' even more now because of them. Anyway, hope Kate is feeling better soon.

Poor little Katie girl! That video is amazing... I can't believe you got it on video! Isn't it sad how usually the most awful accidents happen when we're right in the same room with them? That's how it is at our house anyway. I agree that she is the cutest little thing in that sling.

Hey, I tagged you on my blog... I know you don't have much time to blog, but I thought I'd tag you anyway. You can ignore it if you so wish.

James and I watched the video last night... I couldn't bring myself to watch it earlier, man... poor little girl. She does look like she's having such a blast until she goes flinging off the chair...

sounds like your house is a lively one lately. I hope she heals well. She does look pretty cute in a sling.

Oh poor thing. How unfair that a fall like that would crush a clavicle. I hate that such a cute moment could end so badly. I hope she recovers soon and is back to playing to cute.
