Cousin come for a visit

Aunt Buffy and Uncle Tim and cousin James, Gigi, and eleanor were here this past weekend. We all had a great time together. We spent a few hours at the pool, the kids played on the trampoline and made forts, we grilled and talked a lot. We will miss them when they move to Boston next week.

Max smiled at me twice!

The day after he turns 1 month old Max smiles twice totally on purpose. In fact, he was so focused you could just tell he was trying so hard!

Favorites of Kate with Max

Max was 9 days old in these pictures....Kate was 3 and a half.

God Bless YOU Mom!

This Post is dedicated to my AMAZING Mother! She came to help when Max was only 4 days old, and stayed until he was 3 weeks old. She labored and toiled for almost 3 weeks. It was funny, she called me a few days after getting back home and said she went to her jazzercise class expecting to be sore after wards, and to her suprise wasnt sore at all because she worked so had while here!

Thank you for all of the help, and company and love you gave for almost 3 weeks Mom. I am so blessed to have you as an amazing example in my life!

Kate and I built a castle

The babies fell asleep, so Kate and I built " the tallest castle" out of every block we own!

Max is so cute and so sweet...... During the day atleast!

Baby Max is 4 weeks old today! I can't believe how fast it has gone already! We are starting to settle in a bit. He is just starting to show some predictability at certain times of the day. He always goes to bed right at 10 pm, it's so funny, you CAN'T wale him up after this time of night!

He is trying so hard to smile at me! Since he was born he has been the most alert and aware baby we've ever had. In fact besides saying he looks just like me(a first which I am thoroughly enjoying!) the next thing people say is how alert he is. It's true. He will hold eye contact longer than you, everytime. He does a half smile right now, he's getting there.

He is getting better with nursing. We still have work to do in this department, but we will get Irvin the next few weeks I am sure.

Max sleeps ok half of the nights, the other half are miserable! This too shall pass. We have never had a baby cause such problems in the wee hours of the morning!

We are so blessed to have such an amazing little guy as Max! Nevis truly amazing and special!

My miserable birthday

I turned 29 on Monday. Max was 2 weeks old. For some reason , I am a crybaby 2 weeks after having birth! I think its all the hormones dropping or something! It usually only lasts a day, so I am normal and happy again now, it just happened to fall on my birthday! Poor Chauncey did such a great job TRYING to make my birthday great. He got me spa massage, facial, and herbal wrap, perfume, my blog books( which are fantastic by the way), among other things. They made me chocolate cupcakes and cards. Regardless, I was crying off and on all day! I just couldn't control it!
So, I didn't answer my phone to most callers to avoid embarrassment, sorry if you were one of them! I truly appreciated all of the missed calls, emails and gifts. The thing I love about My birthday this year, is that I needed the support maybe more than any other birthday. It really helped me that day, so thank you so much!

-thanks for the flowers too Chelle!

My haircut costs what?

I asked a friend in our ward for a hair dresser recommendation. It had been 7 months since my last haircut, and my hair was really really long and thick. I told her that cost wasn't an issue and that I wanted a great haircut.
She recommended a girl at Salon Blu. I went, got it cut, not sure what I think about it yet, but when I went to check out guess how much it was for just a haircut?!
75 Dollars! I didn't mind, I was just a little sticker shocked! I ddnt know haircuts cost that much in the real world!
