Bobette from storytime spent the last week with us. She came with us to the movies, church and rode scooters with us. Kate and Bella had a great time grooming her and wrapping her in her blanket. Thanks for the visit Bobette!

Princess tea party and Disney on ice

Liz, Cynthia and I threw a tea party for the little princesses in our lives! It was spectacular! What fun we all had eating delectable treats and spending some quality time together.

The show was pretty great. They started with tiana, then Cinderella, and ended with tangled. At the end of te show every princess came out in gold sparkly dresses for the finale. It was pretty neat for every princess !

Happy 9th birthday today Chauncey!!!

My very first sweet little baby boy was born 9 years ago tonight. From the very first minute he was a sweet, kind hearted and gentle soul. Chauncey has surpassed every expectation any parent could have for thier first child. He teaches all of us how to be more like Christ by his example. We are so grateful to have this precious spirit in our family.

We took Chauncey and a few of his friends to monkey joes Friday night to celebrate. It was a record breaking 6 ad a half hour birthday party. He felt so big staying out until 9:30! He had a great great day.

Day 5(last day) Hollywood Studios

Jake and the neverland pirate. After we finished the Disney junior live on stage show she HAD to meet him. I am so glad she did!

Beauty and the beast musical...of course was wonderful in every way. We even met this adorable Brazilian family sitting in front of us who were loving max and the girls!

Day 4 Magic Kingdom

Day 3 animal kingdom

This was a really amazing playground in dinoland. They wanted to spend more time than we did here.

We waited for the Chaunceys to ride mount everest here and ate lunch. See the monkeys all over in the background?! Animal kingdom is an amazing place.

The rest of these pictures are taken on a safari. All the animals are very real!!! This is an amazing "ride".

Day 2 Magic kingdom day 1

The next day we went to the magic kingdom! Before the park even opened the girls and I had breakfast at cinderellas castle at the round table.

We were greeted by Cinderella in the foyer, then we climbed to the top of the castle and sat and ate some breakfast.

While eating aurora came over and talked with each of the girls and hugged them and took pics.

Next belle came to meet us. She was so sweet and caring meeting he girls! Then bellas favorite snow white came! She was the best. She loved and hugged and talked with each of the girls. She even kissed Bella on the cheek!

It was the sweetest thing I had seen in a long time. More pics to come later.
Next belle came, then Ariel! It was the most magical thing I have ever experienced! And I'm 30....I'm sure the girls were amazed!

Disney world!!!

The first day we went to rocky and ride mission space, test track, memo ride and talking with crush and the soda tasting. We checked out all the different countries and stayed for the fireworks show at night. It was way better run I was expecting!

Riley came to visit!

-here are the kids watching the river otters. They were totally putting on a show for the kids! It was so fun. The otters were very social and funny.

Seals were awesome. They would do 360's while they swam.

These were the coolest bees! You could see the bees with te pollen on Thier hind legs returning to the hive. They painted the queen bee red so you could see her among all the worker bees making the honey. Very, very cool!

Girls campout

This was so much fun! We went to a campground about 1 hour from our house. There was a lake and trails to walk, canoeing. We had a very uplifting and amazing testimony meeting and Made banana boats around the campfire. And we went on a hike around 11 pm, and stayed up until 2:30 am laughing! It was so much fun!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family who are such amazing people! We all had an amazing time! Buffy pulled the kids put of school for a week and a half and came all the way from Boston to see us. Thank you Elizabeth for coming all that way. We made some priceless memories!

Cousin bff's

Cousin Gigi and Kate were bff's at first sight! They kept making things and saying "this (or that)is in memory of us being together". It was so fun to watch them enjoy eachother so thoroughly. This visit was perfect for everyone and very bonding. Eleanor and Bella were also bff's most of the time atleast. They would play together so cute and hold hands.
James was fantastic with playing equally with both Jackson and Chauncey. He is such a polite and wonderful young man! He is truly a peacemaker and so smart.

Gigi had to get six fillings done so we told her we would all go to chuuck e cheese afterwards.
They went through 240 tokens and had a blast! Then we went home and went swimming all afternoon. It was a great great day.

This was cool. This was a tooth from a shark called the megalodon from 20 million years ago. They found this tooth in NC. He was as long as a school bus!! Really cool. They had a replication of his jaws.

Labor day weekend in Raleigh

We've had so much fun so far! Little Chauncey and I came up early Saturday morning and went to his best friend Connors tackle football game.

They were beaten pretty badly, but it was fun to see Connor play! I adore Connors mom Jenny so it was a special treat for me too-Chauncey stayed with Connor for the day and slept over.

Then I went shopping for 6 hours and still didn't make it to every store I wanted. Oh well. I'll just have to come back soon!

At 7 I picked up two of my very favorite people in Raleigh, Sharon Strawn and Kimberly Harris. We went to dinner on main street in Durham by the baseball field. We had a fantastic time talking and talking and laughing! We had so much fun that the restaurant closed and we stayed:) We talked until 12:30..... I miss these girls so much! Sadly I never took a picture:(
The next morning I met the rest of the family at church at 9 am. I am so proud of Chauncey! He got all four kids ready for church and left the house at 7:30 to make it to church by 9 in Raleigh! Impressive.
It was so great to see everyone! I was in heaven in primary and stayed there. They needed help and I was more than happy to jump in:) Collin Harris and I are now bff's.

After church we went to the Agnelli's, our old neighbors and best friends. We had another really great time! The kids were all on cloud nine!

Max got tired so we went to the Embassy Suites around 5:30 and set up camp for the night minus Chaincey who slept over at the
Agnellis.

Bella put on my shirt and daddys shorts...shes said "this is too big"

This morning we are going swimming, then Jack goes to Killians house, Kate goes to Elizas house, and Chauncey goes to Spencers house, leaving us with two babies and several hours of shopping time! Fun! I am looking forward to the day.
Kate has a birthday party to go to for Kinsey Hill at 4:30, so we will go home after that.

I hate saying goodbye! Bella was so concerned for grandma when she was leaving that she insisted that grandma took her baby doll with her to china to keep her company! Grandma had to go with it and she stuck it in the mailbox on the way out!:) it was too cute. The girls were the only ones home when they left. They were sad:( I was even sadder.

We played hookie from life and took off to Carolina beach. I love how close we live and how easy it is to go to the beach! Carolina beach was beautiful.

The boys took off to the water as soon as we walked onto the beach and didn't come put for a break for 2 full hours! Jack and Chauncey were in beach heaven.

I had a hard time getting any pictures of jack because he literally never came put of the water except once to eat:)

Daddy wrote bellas name and she liked it.

Max took a nap in the car on the way over, but it wasn't enough! He fell asleep around 4.

First day of school

The boys started school on Thursday this week. We visited the school and met the teachers and bus driver. I think they really like it. When they got home the first day Jackson said he already has a friend! Chauncey said he has 3 buddies. So far so good.

Back to school celebration!

Yea! We had a great time at our back to school celebration today! The kids start school Thursday so we celebrated today be hitting chuck e cheese(at Bellas request) then Fazolis for lunch.

Here they are with Thier prizes....all cotton candy and suckers....they were obviously hungry!

They paired off to get tickets together. Chauncey took Bella, jack took Kate.

Jack hit the jackpot on a game and won 50 tickets...I will add the video but I missed the first and best part of the celebration.

I got to go with the Paul family(my new neighbors) to Thier private lessons for batting and pitching. It was so so much fun! I felt like I was a teenager again! It made me realize how much fun it will be to grow up with my babies and play sports with them!

By the time I grabbed my phone to take a picture jack was asleep on the couch outside!

And anything Jackson does, Bella does too!

We had a fun day! We went swimming with our friends Bre and Brandon. We went to mcdonalds for jacks birthday dinner, them we had a family party with cake and presents and lots of happy birthday wishes!
We made a huge sign for jacks birthday that hung all day and he wore a special big birthday hat most of the day. I think jack felt very special today.

China dresses

The girls wanted to dress in Thier china clothes today. They love to go in my room and turn on the alarm radio and dance.

Kate found a dress that had dragons on it and it was red so she thought it was perfect for max.

Playing with the Cook family

We love the Cook family! Liz is the mom and she is amazing! She has 5 children and her husband is deployed. She homeschools all of them! I am planning on taking notes everytime I am around her.
They came over this morning to play and we made a birthday sign and a cake for jacks birthday tomorrow! Ally, Lauren, Hannah and Sophie were a huge help and so fun! Then we painted fingernails together! I love having so many girls to play with!

The 4 boys were upstairs enjoying eachother equally as much. I asked Jackson if he had fun after they left and he said "it was great!"

Art projects

We went to Michaels and the kids each pick a couple of art projects they wanted to do. This is the first. They each picked a wood craft they wanted to paint.
Kate picked a cute jewelry box with a mirror.

They each drew a picture of Thier project and colored the picture how they were planning on painting it. I wanted to avoid any meltdowns of them "messing up" and painting areas the wrong color. It worked!

Chauncey painted a castle with a dragon inside.

Bella picked a purse.

Jack picked a doghouse.

After they dried we used the cricut andade vinyl to decorate and label them.

Kates new best friend Bre

When we got home from church today there was a very special package on the doorstep. It said to:Kate from:Bre
Kate smiled so big when we read those words. She felt so special opening her gift. Bre is our neighbor. She is so wonderful and sweet! Bre has had Kate over to make crafts and Kate just fell in love with her. We are so blessed to have such amazing neighbors!

Bre gave Kate some crafty things. She especially loves the pink one.

She also made an adorable card for Kate that Kate is keeping in her "special box" to keep it safe.

Morning at the movies

There is a new 14 screen theater 3 miles from our house so we went to check it out this morning.
It was so much fun for me to see each of them enjoying themselves. They were so well behaved and so excited!

They each got a small cute box of popcorn and a soda. I think that's why they were so well behaved!

Trip to Omaha

I went to visit my best friend from high school in may. Here we are with our newest babies.
Amber is a firefighter there and she played for the cornhuskers softball team through college among many other things. She is so fun and is my family. I love her so much and it was so great to see her! As a bonus, her parents happened to be visiting at the same time! They are like my own parents, I am so grateful o have Thier family in my life.

Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Waterpark

We had such a blast here! We took a 3 day vacation to Charlotte's Great Wolf Lodge. There were no lines so we just kept going and going and going! Chauncey braved all the slides countless times. Jack and Kate went on one once.....that was enough for them. Little Chauncey took me down a slide that was so scary! He gave me no warning about the "drop off" and made me sit in the backwards seat! I have plenty of years left to get him back!

Walk to the K Store

We do this alot! It's a 1 mile each way walk and Thier incentive is a treat from the K Store(gas station). Our neighbor friends came along Michael and Dominic. We went last week when Chauncey was in Denver at the NCAA basketball tournament for BYU!

Little Chauncey's Baptism

The night before little Chuncey's baptism, Christmas day night, we had a testimony meeting within our family unit. It was wonderful. Each of us took turns bearing a testimony of something to little Chauncey. It was so wonderful for him to feel thier spirits, and to know that his family also believes the same things we do.

The next morning we woke to tons and tons of snow! It was remarkable and unseen in North Carolina! Church was cancelled. His baptism was set for after the block of meetings. So, we kind of decided it may be cancelled. But, the sun came out, and I went for a drive around 2 pm and decided that the baptism was still on! Just our family in attendance with Brother Barker, the 1st counselor in the bishopric. What a unique and wonderful experience for us all.

I love the symbolism of the newly fallen snow washing cleaning, making white every surface on the morning of his baptism! So beautiful it is never to be forgotten.

Here is everyone at Little Chauncey's Baptism, the first West Grandchild to be baptized. He was so excited. Chauncey truly understands the gospel principles of baptism and the covenants that he made this day. He has a very special Spirit and a kind heart.

When Big Chauncey performed the ordinance of baptism I felt the spirit so strongly. I know Heavenly Father was so pleased that Chauncey made the concious choice to be baptized. Tears filled my eyes as he came out of the water, the spirit permeated the room.

It made me reflect back on the feelings I felt when I was baptized. They were so fresh in my mind. I wonder if its like that for everyone. I had the uniquely wonderful problem of really knowing the difference of when the spirit is present or not. It was definately a blessing for me. I think little Chauncey is learning this.

We are so grateful to our wonderful family who was willing to make the long trip out to attend this very special event for our family. We love you all so much!
